Congratulations and many thanks to our Clinic Organizer Penny House for all her hours of hard work that resulted in a Spring Clinic that was a great success with wonderful footing, well-trimmed jumps and over 90 horses and riders safely schooled by eleven first class eventing clinicians: ( please include the list of clinicians). The Volunteer Contact Person, Gayle Burton was a great addition to our team this year. Her very able and keen group of volunteers included, Scribes for Dressage: Mary Jeffries, Marcia Reid, Pat Seyfried, Susan Strickland, Carey Domb and Lisa Wood. Horse Rig Parking: Murray Jeffries, Peter Godson ( who also did a great clean-up thereafter) and David Lowndes. Stadium Support: Jane Thompson and Trish McGeer. Dressage Rings Set Up: Petra Tuerlings. A delicious luncheon was prepared for our clinicians and volunteers by Dianne St Louis and served in style by Anne Berry.

For many young people, the clinic is their first eventing experience and we try to provide a safe and supportive environment. The feedback from the clinicians and participants was very positive – next year they would like more “photos of the participants” and a “common lunch” for the clinicians to chat and reconnect.

In addition to supporting the OHTA ( Ontario Horse Trials Association ) and the sport of eventing in general we are happy to report that, financially, the Clinic was very successful and funds were generated that will continue to improve the equestrian facilities that we offer to our membership.

Many thanks to our volunteers – you are the backbone of our club – and your spirit, enthusiasm and support are the reason that I work on your behalf.
