Hello Members:

Happily we can report to you that the Spring Clinic was a great success with wonderful footing, well-trimmed jumps and over 90 horses and riders safely schooled by eleven first class eventing clinicians. Please check out the website, www.caledonridingclub.com for more details.

Many thanks to Ken McKenzie and his group of Merry Men for another sold out social event. Excellent dinner and cheerful ambiance were enjoyed by all.

We need your help on Saturday June 5, 2010, your Riding/Horse Trials Director,  Rob Sytsma  will be “on course” and preparing the property  for the Horse Trials - he invites you to participate.(workers get a pub night voucher)

Many thanks to all the members who have responded to our new and elegant Sponsorship Brochure and Letter, we are counting on your support.

Other activities listed on the website for your perusal and interest: the Puppy Show on June 13^th, the Caledon Horse Trials June 19/20 and our extra-special Pub Nights – you need to sign up – so that we can fill our Wednesday calendar.

The ECH has invited us to join them for lots of (free) social riding on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting tomorrow June 2. The Summer Fixture Card has all the information – available on the website.

The other longer term initiative that your Board is investigating includes some extensive work to widen, heighten and improve our trails – removing dead elms on the property – cleaning out the islands of growth on the X-country course – pruning and trimming the trees up the driveway, along the power line and close to the Club House - we have a beautiful property and your Board is dedicated to maintenance.

Caledon Riding Club – President’s Message

Hello Members,

Please be advised that the Board of Directors for 2010 is already hard at work on your behalf.

The 2010 Membership List has been updated, when you receive it please check and advise Catherine of errors.

The next Board Meeting will be held on April 7^th, 2010.  Please let us know if you have concerns or questions or items that you would like to see addressed.

Happily it looks like we shall have an early spring; please restrict your riding according to the conditions.  Be safe – riding helmets are mandatory and motorized recreational vehicles are not permitted on Club Property.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Spring Social on March 27^th, the Hack and Pancake Breakfast on April 18^th and/or the Spring Work Day early in May, date to follow.
